About The Position
The Cafe Opener is responsible for the early morning setup and execution of the cafeteria’s breakfast service. This role suits a dependable, detail-oriented person who can work in a fast-paced environment and is committed to high-quality food preparation and customer service. The opener makes sure the cafeteria is stocked, clean, and ready to provide resort guests with an enjoyable dining experience. The position is seasonal and full-time for the 2026–2027 winter season. The wage range is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, plus tips. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. An Idaho Food Safety Certification is required, with training provided. A background check and driver verification are not required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- English reading and writing skills.
- Basic kitchen and cooking skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Idaho Food Safety Certification; training is provided.

- Line Cook experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time for early morning shifts and complete daily opening procedures, including turning on equipment, setting up serving lines, and preparing stations for breakfast service.
- Prepare and execute food items according to established recipes, procedures, and safe food handling practices, including breakfast staples and grab-and-go items.
- Keep the work area stocked and organized throughout the shift by rotating inventory, restocking supplies, and preparing the station for the next shift.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including daily cleaning and sanitizing of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to guests, answer inquiries, and support a positive dining experience.
