About The Position

The Dishwasher at Lakeview Cafe is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment using commercial machines and manual cleaning methods. The role keeps kitchen and dishwashing areas clean, safe, and organized to support kitchen operations and a positive dining experience. The successful candidate is hardworking, reliable, works well as part of a team, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time seasonal position for Winter 2026–2027, with a wage range of $15.00–$18.00. The minimum age is 15. A background check and driver verification are not required. Idaho Food Safety Certification training is provided. Minimum education is English reading and writing; no related-position experience is required.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 15.
• English reading and writing ability.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
• Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Idaho Food Safety Certification; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Scrape, wash, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dishwashing area and store cleaned items so they are accessible to kitchen and serving staff.
• Keep floors and surfaces free of spills and debris by sweeping and mopping.
• Empty trash and recycling regularly.
• Assist with general kitchen duties, including basic food preparation or receiving deliveries.
• Monitor the dishwashing machine’s temperature and chemical levels and promptly report malfunctions or issues to a supervisor.
• Follow health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
• Work collaboratively with back-of-house and front-of-house staff.
