About The Position

The Cafe Opener is responsible for setting up and running the cafeteria’s breakfast service. This role suits a dependable, detail-oriented person who can work in a fast-paced environment and is committed to quality food preparation and customer service. The opener ensures the cafeteria is stocked, clean, and ready to provide resort guests with a smooth dining experience. The position is seasonal and full-time, with a wage range of $15.00 to $18.00 plus tips.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• English reading and writing skills.
• Cooking skills or basic kitchen skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Idaho Food Safety Certification; training is provided.

Nice To Haves

• Line Cook experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for early morning shifts and complete daily opening procedures, including turning on equipment, setting up serving lines, and preparing stations for breakfast service.
• Prepare food according to established recipes, procedures, and safe food-handling practices, including breakfast staples and grab-and-go items.
• Keep the work area stocked and organized by rotating inventory, restocking supplies, and preparing the station for the next shift.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including daily cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and utensils.
• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient guest service, answer inquiries, and support a positive dining experience.
