About The Position

The Lakeview Café Cashier accurately processes customer transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The role operates a cash register, handles cash and electronic payments, provides friendly customer service, and maintains a clean, organized checkout area. The cashier also restocks food and beverage items, monitors inventory and stock rotation, sells alcoholic beverages, and helps café team members with other tasks during slower periods. Scheduled hours are typically between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The position requires availability to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 19.
• English reading, writing, and communication skills, plus basic math.
• Basic computer knowledge and comfort using a computer-based point-of-sale system.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process payments, handle cash, and balance the register.
• Maintain efficient line speed and provide excellent guest service at the café’s front area.
• Restock food and beverage items, monitor inventory levels, and maintain proper stock rotation.
• Sell alcoholic beverages.
• Keep the front area clean, organized, and stocked in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Assist other café team members with various tasks during slow periods.
