About The Position
Sheraton Augusta Hotel is seeking a dependable and motivated Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. If you enjoy preparing quality food in a fast-paced hospitality environment and take pride in creating an exceptional guest experience, we'd love to meet you.
Requirements
- Previous cooking or restaurant experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Sheraton brand standards and recipes.
- Set up and stock kitchen stations before each shift.
- Ensure food is prepared safely and served with consistent quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, storage, and work areas.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor food inventory and notify management of items that need replenishing.
- Work efficiently with the restaurant and banquet teams during busy service periods.
- Assist with closing duties and cleaning at the end of each shift.
