About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is hiring Light Duty Tow Truck Operators for its Orlando team. The company provides light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage services. Operators respond to accidents, breakdowns, and roadside incidents; communicate with motorists; perform basic repairs or tow vehicles to repair facilities; safely load vehicles; and remove illegally parked vehicles when required. Drivers keep their assigned truck rather than using a slip-seating arrangement and must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck. Tow-truck training is provided for applicants without prior towing experience. Compensation is 30% commission, not a salary. Five-day and six-day workweeks are available, and weekend work is mandatory.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card required before the first day of work.
• Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Must provide a personal set of tools once assigned to a truck.
• Ability to lift, crawl, pull, bend, reach, climb, and perform tasks requiring significant strength and stamina.
• Frequent use of hands and full physical mobility required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior towing experience or experience in a related field; towing experience is not required, and training is provided.

Responsibilities
