About The Position

Motor Body / Alongi Brothers is a third-generation, family-owned towing company that has served San Jose since 1948. The company offers steady work across a major AAA contract, two San Jose police contracts, and commercial accounts. Drivers operate a varied fleet of flatbeds and wreckers, respond to roadside, accident, and police calls, and recover and transport vehicles across most of San Jose and parts of Santa Clara. Paid CHP Level 1 training and ongoing continuing training are provided. Drivers may advance from driver to lead driver to supervisor. The role is based in downtown San Jose and is in person. Employees choose either a day shift from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM or an evening shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM; weekends are part of both schedules. Pay is $25–$30 per hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities. Uniforms, towing equipment, tools, boot allowance, and rain gear allowance are provided.

Requirements

Valid Class C driver's license and a clean driving record; no CDL is needed.
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working weekends.
Good attitude and strong customer service skills.
Willingness to learn and be trained; towing experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbeds and wreckers safely and efficiently.
Respond to roadside, accident, and police calls; recover and transport vehicles.
Inspect the truck and equipment before and after every shift.
Keep accurate tow records.
Work with dispatch and the crew to help customers get moving again.
