About The Position
The Boyertown YMCA is seeking individuals age 18 or older to work as lifeguards. Lifeguards help keep pool participants safe, apply organizational safety procedures in pool and aquatic areas, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pool deck. The role offers support from the leadership team, opportunities to learn and grow, and the chance to contribute to a nonprofit organization working to strengthen the community.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or the ability to pass the course.
- Passion for water safety and strong swimming skills.
- Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
- Understand and apply organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
