About The Position

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring a full-time Lifeguard at the Boyertown YMCA. The role requires morning shifts from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and weekend availability. Lifeguards help keep pool participants safe, apply pool and aquatic-area safety procedures, and maintain a clean, organized pool deck. Applicants must be at least 18 and hold American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or be able to pass the course. The YMCA offers leadership support and opportunities to learn and grow while contributing to a nonprofit organization focused on strengthening the community.

Requirements

• Age 18 or older.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or the ability to pass the course.
• Passion for water safety and strong swimming skills.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
• Understand and apply organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
