About The Position
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking individuals age 18 or older to work as lifeguards at the Northeast Family YMCA. Lifeguards help keep pool participants safe, apply safety procedures in pool and aquatic areas, and maintain a clean and organized pool deck. The role offers flexible scheduling, support from the leadership team, and opportunities to learn and grow at the YMCA.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or the ability to pass the course.
- Passion for water safety and strong swimming skills.
- Weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
- Understand and apply organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
