About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within the scope of practice. The nurse also directs non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit. The position is part-time, with an AM schedule Monday through Wednesday, at Crestwood’s Vallejo program. Its mental health rehabilitation programs provide psychosocial rehabilitation in secure residential settings, while the campus’s elderly residential care program supports independence and health and wellness.
Requirements
- Current California licensure as an LVN or LPT.
- Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
