About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice. The nurse also provides direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit.

Crestwood Chula Vista supports clients in recovery through wellness tools and staff support. The program’s mission is to restore hope, empowerment, community and natural-support inclusion, realized potential in each client, and psychiatric stabilization. The schedule is on-call.

Requirements

• Current California licensure as an LVN or LPT.
• Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to supervise.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
• Current CPR and first aid certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in mental health nursing is preferred.
