About The Position

Crestwood is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within the employee’s scope of practice. The nurse also directs non-licensed personnel in providing client care and operating the unit. The position is based in Crestwood’s Crisis Stabilization Unit, a recovery-focused program that welcomes children, adolescents, and adults in crisis. The program provides assessment, mental health stabilization services, medication evaluation and management, and connections to outpatient and inpatient mental health services. The schedule is full-time, with AM/PM shifts listed as PM Friday through Sunday and AM Monday. Pay is $34.50–$39.99 per hour. The final offer may depend on factors including skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background investigation, including criminal history and identity checks. Crestwood participates in E-Verify.

Requirements

Current California licensure as an LVN or LPT.
Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
Current CPR and first aid certifications.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in mental health nursing is preferred.
