About The Position

The Licensed Security Dispatcher role helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors at Carolina Place in Pineville, North Carolina. The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset. All scheduled shifts are dispatching shifts except Saturday, when the employee may be required to walk the floor as an officer. The schedule is 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 3 p.m.–11 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 1 p.m.–9 p.m. Saturday. Duties may vary based on site needs. The employee is expected to arrive on time in full uniform, remain engaged and proactive throughout the shift, and follow safety, training, and compliance requirements.

Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Valid North Carolina state-issued Security D License.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
High attentiveness and situational awareness.
Dependable and team-oriented.
Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

Prior security or customer-facing experience.
Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, or access control systems.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity.
Control access points and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Identify and report suspicious activity, incidents, and safety concerns.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and on-site incidents.
Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems.
Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation.
Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times.
Follow post orders, company policies, and safety procedures.
Maintain knowledge of emergency response protocols.
Inspect property for safety risks, including fire hazards and equipment issues.
Support loss prevention and recommend safety improvements.
Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally; provide directions and support as needed.
Maintain a visible, approachable on-site presence.
Arrive on time in full uniform, stay engaged and proactive throughout the shift, and follow safety, training, and compliance requirements.
