About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care at a Nursing Home in Albuquerque, NM. The contract duration is 5 weeks, with a start date of 08/17/2026. The position is for the night shift, working 11.5 hours per shift (6:30 PM–6:00 AM), with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. This assignment is for local candidates only.

Requirements

Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (basic requirements aligned with LPN scope)
Experience in or exposure to long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
Ability to work a night schedule: 6:30 PM–6:00 AM
Local candidates only
Strong communication and written documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced LTC environment and collaborate with the care team

Responsibilities

Provide required nursing care to residents per the established plan of care under the supervision of an RN
Administer medications and routine treatments within LPN scope of practice
Monitor vital signs, assess changes in residents’ conditions, and report promptly to the supervising nurse
Document assessments, interventions, and responses in resident charts in a timely and accurate manner
Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility, promoting comfort and safety
Maintain infection prevention and safety standards, including proper documentation of care and changes in condition
