Requirements

• Current New York licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
• BLS certification
• 1+ year of experience as an LPN in a long-term care or geriatric setting
• Must be willing to float to different units; able to work day shift options (6am–6pm or 10am–10pm) and every other weekend
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and comply with facility policies

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a long-term care–focused environment under supervising clinicians
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor responses and document accurately
• Monitor vital signs, assess changes in patient status, and communicate findings to the supervising RN
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and safety needs
• Perform basic wound care, wound assessment, and routine diabetic and catheter care as assigned
• Maintain accurate charting, document observations, and participate in care planning; respond promptly to call lights
• Be willing to float to appropriate units as needed to meet patient care requirements
