About The Position
GiaCare is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support the McClellan Air Force Satellite Clinic in McClellan, California. This civilian opportunity provides comprehensive services to members of the military community in a collaborative outpatient environment. The nurse coordinates care across inpatient, outpatient, community, and telephonic settings to support continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., based on a 40-hour work week.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure.
- Two years of experience in a primary care clinic.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or military equivalence.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in primary care, women's health, and mental health settings.
- Assess patients' conditions.
- Administer vaccines and immunizations.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms.
- Order laboratory tests and X-rays.
- Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, community, and telephonic settings.
