About The Position

GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications for an experienced outpatient civilian Registered Nurse in Family Medicine to work alongside McClellan AF Satellite Clinic in McClellan, California. The position provides comprehensive services to members of the military community in a collaborative outpatient environment. The RN coordinates care across inpatient, outpatient, community, and telephonic settings to support continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

Two years of outpatient clinical nursing experience after graduation.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a college or university accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Board certification.
Permanent, full, and unrestricted Registered Nursing license to practice in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.

Responsibilities

Administer medications, perform wound care, and provide other personalized interventions.
Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
Make patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and respond quickly in emergency situations.
Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
Use the nursing process effectively and in a timely manner in accordance with the standard of care.
Orient and train new staff as required by the government supervisor.
Participate in the peer review process.
Complete other duties as assigned.
