About The Position
Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) Ambulatory is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide exceptional, person-centered care. Requirements
- Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing; BSN or ADN.
- BLS provider certification accredited by the American Heart Association, required prior to hire.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
- 1–2 years of previous experience in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ health status, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Triage patients by evaluating the urgency of their conditions and determining appropriate next steps for treatment or referral.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care, communicate effectively, and manage treatment and follow-ups.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, medication administration, and lifestyle changes; provide emotional support and answer questions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, chart care provided, document patient interactions, and manage appointment scheduling and other administrative tasks.
