LVN - Family Practice - Carlsbad
About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide patient care at Scripps Coastal Medical Center in Carlsbad. This is a benefited, full-time position scheduled for 80 hours per pay period, working an 8-hour day shift from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role includes performing patient assessments and care tasks, educating patients and families, documenting patient interactions, and practicing infection control while contributing to quality care within the LVN’s scope of practice. Requirements
- Current California LVN license.
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- One year of outpatient experience as an LVN or LPN.
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
- Educate patients and families and document patient interactions.
- Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.
