About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care, located in White River Junction, VT. The contract is for several weeks, starting on 09/08/2026, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The role involves providing direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care and assisted living setting, administering medications, monitoring residents, assisting with daily living activities, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Accurate charting in the electronic health record and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work in a long-term care/assisted living setting and across shifts
- Ability to pass a routine background check and drug screening

- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting within scope of practice
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under supervision; document administrations accurately
- Monitor vital signs, assess resident status, identify changes, and report findings to the supervising nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living; promote safety, mobility, skin integrity, and fall prevention
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and update care plans; participate in handoffs and care conferences
- Maintain accurate charting in the electronic health record and adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols
