About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurse working in a long-term care setting, located in Oswego, New York. This is a travel - temporary assignment in a hospital, starting 09/28/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,202 to $1,298 per week, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shifts are day shifts with 12-hour coverage (6am–6pm or 10am–10pm), typically 3 days per week, and includes every other weekend.

Requirements

Active New York Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
1+ year of experience in long-term care or dementia care
Graduate of an approved practical nursing program; NY licensure
Must be willing to float to different units as needed
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6am–6pm or 10am–10pm) and every other weekend

Responsibilities

Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a long-term care context within a hospital setting, under supervision as required.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments; document administration in the medical record and medication administration record.
Monitor vital signs and patient status; assess for changes related to dementia and other chronic conditions; escalate concerns promptly.
Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and participate in rounds and patient assessments.
Assist with activities of daily living, promote patient safety, manage dementia-related needs, and respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.
