LPN - 1:1 Pediatric Nurse
About The Position
BAYADA's Willow Grove Pediatric Office is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for pediatric care to join its Skilled Nursing team. The nurse will provide one-to-one private duty care to a 5-year-old child who is tracheostomy- and ventilator-dependent in Norristown. Open shifts are 7 a.m.–5 p.m. or 11 p.m.–7 a.m.; nurses may choose which available shifts work best for them. The role involves traveling to one nearby client on a chosen schedule, providing hands-on care, following and carrying out doctors' orders, completing assessments, monitoring the client's condition, and documenting observations, interventions, and evaluations. Nurses are empowered to perform skills autonomously in the home and can build a relationship with the client while observing their milestones. BAYADA provides onboarding and training, and Clinical Managers and office staff are available for support. No weekend requirements are stated.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one client near you on a schedule you choose.
- Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor the client's condition.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide hands-on, one-to-one care in the client's home.
- Perform nursing skills autonomously in the home.
