About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), also referred to in the posting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN), provides appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. The role includes gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The nurse performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
