About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. The role includes gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures for patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner, consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The nurse also performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This is a full-time day-shift position at the Denver LTACH.

Requirements

Hold current LPN/LVN licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
Have current BLS certification; certification must be AHA-approved within 90 days of employment.
Obtain current IV certification within 90 days of employment if required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
Gather and report patient data.
Carry out orders.
Perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
