About The Position

This is a travel Licensed Practical Nurse position focused on Long Term Care, specifically for on-site flu vaccine clinic support across multiple sites within a care system. The assignment is on-site only and lasts for 3 weeks, with potential for extension for select candidates. Orientation will be provided on the start date.

Requirements

Active Massachusetts LPN license (must be current at time of submission)
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of experience administering vaccines
Ability to work 10-hour shifts; days; weekend coverage (one Saturday during the assignment)
On-site only; willingness to work across multiple sites as assigned
Completion of an approved practical nursing program

Responsibilities

Administer influenza vaccines to eligible patients following current clinical protocols
Document immunizations and related information in the patient record systems
Monitor patients briefly after vaccination for adverse reactions and provide appropriate first aid if needed
Verify patient identity and obtain informed consent; protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Maintain sterile technique, infection control practices, and overall clinic workflow
Collaborate with other clinic staff to ensure efficient vaccination flow and accurate vaccine reconciliation
