The Licensed Optician delivers LensCrafters’ brand value proposition and helps establish the store as the premier destination for vision needs in the community. The role creates value for customers by providing exceptional service and high-quality, precisely crafted eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
State licensure.
Optical dispensing experience.
Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
Knowledge of current store merchandise.
Strong basic math skills.
Awareness of current fashion trends.
Selling skills and ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, computers, and calculators.
Willingness to embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers and set expectations.
Custom-fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
Serve as a leader in optical knowledge.
Take and record measurements; accurately adjust and fit eyewear; and ensure finished eyewear meets quality standards and customer needs.
Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
Use technology accurately under time pressure and during periods of high customer volume, demonstrating product knowledge and using appropriate tools.
Proactively explore the root causes of issues, develop solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction and that expectations are exceeded.
Multitask, prioritize, and manage time across competing priorities.
Strive to achieve Brand KPIs and competencies.
Help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
Inform management about safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those for discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
