About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is seeking a motivated Licensed Insurance Producer to help customers with insurance needs and grow the company’s customer base. The company provides training, licensing assistance, ongoing support, and opportunities for career advancement. This is an in-office position in El Cajon, California. The role combines customer service, insurance sales, policy administration, vehicle inspection, marketing, and general office duties. Requirements
- Hold a valid, current California Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license.
- Have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Have basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Customer service or insurance sales experience preferred, but not required.
- Spanish-English bilingual ability preferred, but not required.
- A strong sales mentality, desire to succeed, good organizational skills, and a strong customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with new insurance policies, policy edits, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are acceptable insurance risks.
- Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses required to maintain active license status with the California Department of Insurance.
