About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is hiring a Licensed Insurance Producer for its East Bakersfield office. The role focuses on helping customers with insurance sales and service, including new policies, policy changes, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and questions. The producer also assesses vehicles for insurability, develops prospective clients through networking and marketing, works with the office manager on marketing strategies, handles administrative work, and supports daily housekeeping routines. This is an in-office position. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, continuing education support, and opportunities for career advancement.
Requirements
- Hold a valid and current California Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license.
- Have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Have basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Customer service or insurance sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with insurance needs, including issuing new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
- Seek out new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses required to maintain active license status with CDI.
