About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is seeking a motivated Licensed Insurance Producer for an in-office sales position in San Ysidro, California. The role focuses on helping customers understand and meet their insurance needs while supporting sales growth and providing customer service. Compensation is the higher of hourly pay or up to 55% uncapped commission. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, ongoing support, and opportunities for career advancement.
Requirements
- Hold a valid, current California Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license.
- Have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Have basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
- Have a strong sales mentality, organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service or insurance sales experience.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with new insurance policies, changes to existing policies, payments, renewals, and reinstatements, and answer their questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
- Seek out prospective clients and develop a customer base through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses required to maintain an active license with the California Department of Insurance.
