About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is hiring a Licensed Insurance Producer for its Folsom, California office. The role is an in-office insurance sales position for a motivated, customer-focused person who wants to build a career in insurance. The ideal candidate has a strong sales mentality, a desire to succeed, and good organizational and interpersonal skills. A-MAX provides intensive training from day one, pays for licensing assistance and continuing education, and offers ongoing career support and advancement opportunities. The producer assists customers with insurance needs, including issuing and editing policies, processing payments, handling renewals and reinstatements, and answering questions. The role also involves inspecting vehicles to assess insurability, developing new clientele through networking and marketing, coordinating marketing strategies with the office manager, and completing administrative tasks and daily housekeeping routines.
Requirements
- Hold a valid, current California Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license.
- Have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Have basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Customer service or insurance sales experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English ability preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with new policies, policy changes, payments, renewals, and reinstatements, and answer their questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
- Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Develop marketing strategies with the office manager to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses required to maintain an active California Department of Insurance license.
