About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is hiring a Licensed Insurance Producer for an in-office role in El Cajon, California. The ideal candidate has a strong sales mentality, a desire to succeed, organizational and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer focus. The position involves helping customers understand and meet their insurance needs while building a client base and supporting the office’s day-to-day operations. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, covers licensing costs, offers ongoing career support, and provides opportunities for career advancement. Compensation is whichever is higher: hourly pay or up to 55% uncapped commission. Requirements
- Hold a valid and current California Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license.
- Have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Have basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service or insurance sales experience.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with insurance needs, including issuing new policies, editing existing policies, processing payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are acceptable insurance risks.
- Seek out new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses required to maintain active license status with the California Department of Insurance; A-MAX pays for the courses.
