About The Position
Sutter Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiologist to join its Cardiology team in Folsom, California. The position is part of a nationally recognized cardiac program focused on patient outcomes, clinical excellence, and staff engagement. The cardiologist will work with a collaborative team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, providing routine follow-ups and pre-operative clearances, managing devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators, interpreting EKGs, and providing heart failure care. The cardiac program has multiple certifications and recognitions, including Joint Commission certifications, American Heart Association Gold Awards, an IAC-certified adult and pediatric echocardiography lab, and a three-star TAVR rating. The role is supported by a network of 10 cardiology clinic sites and five hospitals across the Greater Sacramento region. The organization uses EPIC EMR with AI assistance, including Abridge. Sutter Medical Group is a multispecialty group of more than 1,600 clinicians practicing across seven Northern California counties. Its clinicians are engaged in clinical practice, teaching, research, leadership, community outreach, and volunteer work.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine patient follow-ups and pre-operative clearances.
- Manage cardiac devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators.
- Interpret EKGs.
- Provide heart failure care.
