About The Position

The Physician provides leadership and medical direction for St. Tammany Physician’s Network and assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in accordance with generally accepted standards of medical care for the physician’s licensed specialty. The role contributes to developing standards of care and supports the development of St. Tammany Physician’s Network. The physician maintains clinic schedules as specified in the contractual agreement. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Be licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine.
• Hold current BLS certification through an ILCOR-provided course.
• Hold current ALS certification through an ILCOR-provided course when required by specialty.
• The ILCOR course must include a manikin check-off.
• Possess good physical health and be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and lifting at least 20 pounds.
• Be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
