Licensed Beauty Advisor - Part Time
About The Position
As a Licensed Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you’ll guide clients on their beauty journeys at the Beauty Studio and beyond. The role combines beauty expertise and personalized service with teaching, inspiration, and product sales. You’ll help clients enjoy their experience while contributing to store goals and an inclusive, supportive team culture. This is a regular, part-time hourly position requiring an active state license for the services performed. Part-time employees must work 15–29 hours per week and meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours. Availability during peak retail operations—including nights, weekends, and holidays—and punctual, consistent attendance are required.
Requirements
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
- Ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
- Collaborative, goal-oriented team player.
- Ability to learn quickly and absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Availability for 15–29 hours per week, including peak retail operations such as nights, weekends, and holidays; punctuality and consistent attendance.
Responsibilities
- Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, serving clients, and selling products.
- Perform makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain an active license and uphold health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Promote an inclusive culture of openness where everyone feels empowered.
- Follow company policies and Sephora standards to help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours and maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
