Licensed Beauty Advisor - Part Time
About The Position
As a Licensed Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you guide clients on their beauty journey at the Beauty Studio and beyond. You provide services and product recommendations while using teaching, inspiration, and play to create a positive client experience. You will work as part of a diverse, supportive team and help clients feel welcome and empowered. This is a regular, part-time hourly position. Part-time employees are expected to work 15–29 hours per week, meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours, and be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Punctuality and consistent attendance are expected.
Requirements
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
- Ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a goal-oriented environment.
- Ability to quickly absorb and effectively share product knowledge.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours and be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
Responsibilities
- Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, serving clients, and selling products.
- Perform makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain an active license and uphold health and safety and hygiene protocols.
- Promote an inclusive, open culture where everyone feels empowered.
- Follow company policies and Sephora standards to help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.
