About The Position

The studio is seeking a Senior Level Designer to build and populate the large open world for a new factory game in Unreal Engine 5. The world should reward exploration, provide compelling places for players to build, and visibly change over the course of the game in response to player actions. This will be the first level designer on the new game team; factory-game experience is not required. The role owns level design across the whole game, including exploration spaces, points of interest, environmental storytelling, and decisions about where and how players build factories. The designer will collaborate with design, art, and engineering on tools, workflows, and performance, and will playtest and iterate on the experience. The studio is small and fully remote, working in English and collaborating during CET core hours of approximately 11:00–15:00. It values direct communication, ownership, and close collaboration with its player community. Applicants should apply through the linked 8bit recruitment website; applications are processed by 8Bit for recruitment purposes.
