About The Position

The Lessons Lead is responsible for creating a positive experience for Guitar Center customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering customer questions, and providing tours of the Lessons facility. The role helps grow the lesson program, supports instructors and students, coordinates lesson and rehearsal schedules, and maintains curriculum sales and facility systems. The position calls for strong customer service, communication, organization, and performance-management skills, including the ability to lead and mentor others.

Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant work experience in musical instruction, administration, or non-instructional retail work.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Customer-service skills and the ability to provide an excellent customer experience.
Clear, concise, positive, and courteous written and verbal communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills, including multitasking, attention to detail, and timely completion of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lead, manage, and mentor others; develop direct reports; provide constructive feedback; and manage a geographically dispersed team.

Associate’s degree.
Skilled understanding of Guitar Center retail systems and processes.

Responsibilities

Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
Sell rehearsal space.
Communicate with parents and students to ensure a positive overall experience.
Guide instructors, manage teaching and non-teaching schedules, and coordinate lesson schedules with instructor availability.
Maintain and increase curriculum sales.
Ensure systems are functioning properly.
Maintain lesson and rehearsal schedules for the facility.
Handle additional duties as assigned.
