About The Position

The Lessons Lead is responsible for creating a positive experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering questions, and providing tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports growth of the lesson program and curriculum sales, coordinates lesson schedules with instructor availability, maintains lesson and rehearsal schedules, and ensures facility systems are functioning properly. The Lessons Lead also provides guidance to instructors and leads, manages, and mentors others. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in musical instruction, administration, or retail non-instruction work.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Customer-service skills and ability to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Clear, concise, positive, and courteous written and verbal communication skills with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
• Ability to lead by example, manage and mentor others, and develop direct reports.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree.
• Skilled understanding of Guitar Center retail systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
• Sell rehearsal space.
• Communicate with parents and students to ensure a positive overall experience.
• Guide instructors, including coordinating teaching and non-teaching schedules, and coordinate lesson schedules with instructor availability.
• Maintain and increase curriculum sales.
• Ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Maintain lesson and rehearsal schedules for the facility.
• Lead, manage, and mentor others; provide positive and constructive feedback.
• Assist customers with questions, address customer service issues, and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
