About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Lessons Lead to help customers and students have a positive experience with its lesson and rehearsal programs. The role sells lesson and rehearsal packages, answers customer questions, and provides tours of the Lessons facility. It also supports instructors and students by coordinating lesson schedules, maintaining program schedules and systems, and driving curriculum sales. The Lessons Lead is expected to lead, manage, and mentor others while helping the store meet its goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in musical instruction, administration, or retail non-instruction work.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to lead, manage, and mentor others, including a geographically dispersed team.

• Associate’s degree.
• Skilled understanding of Guitar Center retail systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
• Sell rehearsal space.
• Communicate with parents and students to ensure a positive overall experience.
• Guide instructors, manage teaching and non-teaching schedules, and coordinate lesson schedules with instructor availability.
• Maintain and increase curriculum sales.
• Ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Maintain lesson and rehearsal schedules for the facility.
• Lead, manage, and mentor others; provide positive and constructive feedback and develop direct reports.
• Handle customer service issues as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
