About The Position

In this course, students will practice predictive and persuasive legal writing using realistic case facts and common legal documents. Students will learn effective editing and time-management strategies. Topics will include professional responsibility, legal ethics, and cultural and gender sensitivity in legal writing. Students will write in and outside of class and participate in class discussion and peer-feedback activities.

Requirements

  • Leaders in the legal profession
  • An LL.B., J.D., or equivalent
  • Extensive experience writing both predictive and persuasive legal documents
  • Willing to use active learning strategies
  • Provide extensive feedback on multiple assignments
  • Able to work with the other writing professors as a team directed by the Legal Writing Academy
