About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary position for the Fall 2026 semester, serving as a lecturer candidate pool. Assignments will be made as needed, contingent upon the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and actual staffing requirements. The role is non-tenurial and requires a commitment to community college principles and philosophy. The position is not remote and may involve teaching on campus, off-campus at military bases, secondary education sites (high schools), or through distance learning assignments via the internet. Specific requirements such as Department of Defense security clearance or background checks may be necessary for certain teaching assignments.

Requirements

• Master’s in Accounting (Macc); or
• Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) including 18 credits in Accounting (undergraduate and/or graduate – 300 level or higher); or
• Bachelor’s in Accounting and three (3) years in accounting; or
• Bachelor’s in related fields such as Business Administration (in areas other than Accounting) including 18 credits in Accounting (undergraduate and/or graduate – 300 level or higher) and five (5) years in accounting; or
• Bachelor’s in any field and CPA/CMA or equivalent professional accounting certification (in the USA).

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in the discipline.
• Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught.
• Provide instruction and guidance to meet student learning objectives.
• Prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
• Work under the supervision of the discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
• Participate in student and peer evaluations and self-assessment of teaching effectiveness.
