About The Position

The Leasing Professional coordinates the community’s marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident-retention goals. The role includes leasing to new residents, supporting resident satisfaction throughout the lease term, and securing lease renewals. The property is stabilized and has 270 units. The schedule is to be determined; both weekend days are required, with stated hours of 9 a.m.–6 p.m. subject to change based on business needs. The position is based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and the posted hourly range is $22–$23. The role may be eligible for onsite property bonus programs. It includes a flexible schedule and may require evening, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage, as well as occasional travel to support other properties or attend training and business meetings.

Requirements

At least 1 year of sales experience.
At least 2 years of customer service experience.
Any licenses or certifications required by state and local jurisdictions.
A valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including taking on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods; bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

Perform sales and leasing activities to meet community revenue and occupancy goals, including qualifying prospects, conducting tours, processing applications and screenings, preparing lease and move-in documents, and supporting move-ins and lease signings.
Inspect apartments before move-in, ensure they are ready, and coordinate outstanding work with the maintenance team.
Monitor market and competitor conditions and develop and implement short- and long-term marketing plans, following community policies on concessions, specials, and other programs.
Design and carry out marketing activities to drive community traffic, including referral and employer outreach programs and online marketing.
Use on-site property management software to track availability, record traffic and leasing activities, manage prospect and resident data, and capture demographic information.
Maintain show-quality standards by inspecting marketing and tour areas, communicating maintenance needs, merchandising show units and amenities, and preparing the leasing office for daily activities.
Follow up with prospects and new residents to support leasing and renewal decisions and ensure satisfaction.
Support the lease renewal program by preparing renewal materials, contacting residents in advance of move-out dates, and ensuring documents are signed and implemented on time.
Respond courteously and promptly to resident and client or owner questions and concerns, solve problems, and document or route requests to the appropriate people.
