About The Position
We are seeking a Leasing Professional with affordable housing experience to lease apartments at Creekside Village in Alexandria, Virginia. The role involves leasing 319 LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) and Project-Based Section 8 apartment homes, qualifying households, completing leasing paperwork, preparing for move-ins, and responding to prospect and resident questions while providing timely, remarkable customer service. The Leasing Professional supports community marketing, resident relations, administrative work, and property management tasks. They collaborate with team members to help create a positive environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
Requirements
- Prior residential leasing success or proven sales and customer service experience in a related service field.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and familiarity with professional business writing.
- Organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to multitask.
- Basic mathematical skills.
Nice To Haves
- LIHTC/affordable housing knowledge or certifications are strongly preferred.
- A college degree is a plus.
- Experience with social media platforms and marketing is a plus.
- Experience with the Entrata software platform is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to prospective residents, current residents, and visitors.
- Assist with leasing 319 LIHTC/Project-Based Section 8 affordable housing apartment homes.
- Lead community tours and secure rental commitments.
- Manage leasing activities from application through income qualification and successful move-in.
- Complete marketing activities and prepare leasing-related reports.
- Assist with resident relations, administrative assignments, social media marketing of the property, including video tours, and property management tasks.
- Work with team members to create a positive environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
