About The Position
Paradigm is seeking a Leasing Professional with affordable housing experience for an apartment community in Alexandria, Virginia. The role supports leasing 319 LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) and Project-Based Section 8 apartment homes. The Leasing Professional leases apartments, completes leasing paperwork, qualifies households, prepares for move-ins, and responds to prospect and resident questions while providing timely, remarkable customer service. The position involves guiding prospective residents through community tours and the leasing process, from applications and income qualification through successful move-in. The Leasing Professional also contributes to marketing, resident relations, administrative work, reporting, social media content, and general property management tasks. The role works closely with other team members to foster a positive environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
Requirements
- Prior residential leasing success or proven sales and customer service experience in a related service field.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and familiarity with professional business writing.
- Organizational skills, accuracy, ability to multitask, and basic mathematical skills.
Nice To Haves
- LIHTC/affordable housing knowledge or certifications are strongly preferred.
- A college degree is a plus.
- Experience with social media platforms and marketing is a plus.
- Experience with the Entrata software platform is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to prospective residents, current residents, and visitors.
- Assist with leasing 319 LIHTC/Project-Based Section 8 affordable housing apartment homes.
- Lead community tours, capture rental commitments, and manage related responsibilities from application through income qualification and successful move-in.
- Complete marketing activities and prepare leasing-related reports.
- Assist with resident relations, administrative assignments, social media marketing of the property, including video tours, and property management tasks.
- Work with team members to create a positive environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
