About The Position

We are looking for a Leasing Consultant for the Trails at Cahaba River community, a 400-unit property in Birmingham, Alabama. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing apartments, assisting with community marketing, and maintaining positive relations with prospects and residents. The role includes greeting and assisting prospects, touring the property, processing leasing documents, responding to resident feedback, helping host resident functions, and participating in marketing activities.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Saturdays as needed. The position requires mobility to tour and inspect apartments and community areas, along with periods of sitting, walking, standing, and stooping. Computer use involves some repetitive hand and wrist motion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a sales-oriented role.
• Superior sales ability.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Some college-level education.
• At least 6 months of on-site leasing experience, or a combination of customer service and sales experience and education.
• YARDI experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and assist them with questions and paperwork.
• Tour the property and target apartments or model units.
• Update apartment availability reports as needed.
• Process leases, renewals, and other related documents.
• Listen to resident requests, complaints, and comments.
• Collaborate in planning and hosting resident functions.
• Participate in obtaining and/or distributing marketing information.
