About The Position

PLK Communities is seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant for Steele Landing. The Leasing Consultant serves as a friendly, professional representative of the residential community, helping prospective residents understand its features and amenities and supporting a welcoming experience for current residents. The role combines sales, customer service, and marketing responsibilities to attract qualified applicants, secure leases, and contribute to resident satisfaction and community success.

Requirements

• Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local market conditions and marketing techniques.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and leasing software.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents and present the community’s features and amenities professionally.
• Secure lease agreements from qualified applicants and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Provide service-oriented support so current residents feel welcome, comfortable, and valued.
• Stay informed about local market conditions and trends to position the community effectively.
• Suggest marketing strategies and improvements to resident satisfaction to the management team.
• Generate prospect traffic by contacting area employers, merchants, and locator services.
• Assist with planning and implementing advertising and marketing programs, with management approval.
• Follow up with prospects and residents to build positive relationships and encourage lease renewals.
