About The Position

PLK Communities, an owner and manager of residential apartment communities, is seeking a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician at Steele Landing. The role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining the community’s physical integrity and safety, completing property maintenance, and supporting and developing the community Maintenance team. Duties include grounds and common-area upkeep, HVAC service and repair (training is available), preparing apartments for new residents, completing work orders, and ensuring trash is properly removed and disposed of. The technician must be able to respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of multi-family or apartment maintenance experience.
• Supervisory or lead experience.
• Basic carpentry skills.
• Plumbing skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Tools: hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, and flashlight.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.
