About The Position

PLK Communities, an owner and manager of residential apartment communities, is seeking a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician for Steele Landing. This hands-on leadership role maintains the physical integrity and safety of the community, handles property and grounds maintenance, and supports the community Maintenance team through leadership, guidance, and development. The technician will service and repair HVAC systems; training is available. The role also includes preparing apartments for new residents, completing work orders, and ensuring proper trash removal and disposal. The technician must be able to respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of multi-family or apartment maintenance experience.
• Supervisory or lead experience.
• Basic carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Own or have access to the listed tools: hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, and flashlight.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.
