About The Position

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing apartments, assisting with marketing the community, and maintaining positive relations at Trails at Cahaba River, a 400-unit community in Birmingham, Alabama. The role includes working with prospective residents, processing leasing documents, responding to resident feedback, and supporting resident activities and marketing efforts.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Saturdays as needed. The job is periodically sedentary but requires mobility to tour and inspect apartments and community areas. It also involves prolonged periods of sitting, walking, or standing, brief periods of stooping, and repetitive hand and wrist motion when using a computer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a sales-oriented role.
• Superior sales ability.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Some college-level education.
• At least 6 months of on-site leasing experience, or a combination of customer service and sales experience and education.
• YARDI experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and assist them with questions and paperwork.
• Tour the property and target apartments or model units.
• Update apartment availability reports as needed.
• Process leases, renewals, and other related paperwork.
• Listen to resident requests, complaints, and comments.
• Collaborate in planning and hosting resident functions.
• Participate in obtaining and/or distributing marketing information.
